Rudolph's Romp
The recent storms once again provided challenging conditions for Ripon Runners over the weekend. On Saturday 5 December, with the storm at its most severe, five members travelled to East Yorkshire for the 24.6 mile long Rudolph’s Romp. The race starts from Brantingham Village Hall and takes in the scenic Yorkshire Wolds on a classic route, which provides a full mix of woodland, hill and dale with sweeping views of the Vale of York and the River Humber. Jo and Iain Wallace finished in 4 hours 21 minutes with Simon McCudden and Tim Joynson 4 hours 54 minutes, with Fred Clapham once again walking the course.
